Weiterentwicklung der während der ersten ROOTS Phase durchgeführten Untersuchungen zum qualitativen Verständnis verschiedener Formen von Ungleichheit und ihres sozio-politischen Kontextes sowie die quantitativen Analysen der Entwicklung verschiedener Ungleichheitsformen in verschiedenen Regionen und verschiedenen Segmenten der Gesellschaft.
Weiterführung der empirischen Untersuchung der Entwicklung von Ungleichheitsformen und deren befördernde oder behindernde gesellschaftlichen Faktoren identifizieren und bewerten und so einen Beitrag dazu leisten, die politischen, gesellschaftlichen und geographischen und materiellen Voraussetzungen und Auswirkungen sozialer Ungleichheitsformen diachron besser zu verstehen.
Die Mitarbeit im Subcluster „ROOTS of Social Inequality“ und die Kooperation mit den anderen ROOTS Subclustern wird erwartet.
Gleichzeitig wird eine aktive Rolle bei der Bearbeitung der Overarching Research Questions "What is the relation between inequalities and conflict escalation, and how is this relation influenced by different modes of settlement organisation and the accessibility of resources?" und "How is the scale of anthropogenic transformation of the environment (i.e. the ‘human footprint’) modulated by social organisation, as well as knowledge transmission and technological change?" erwartet, in Zusammenarbeit mit den dort verorteten Posdocs und Doktorand*innen.

Further development of the research conducted during the first ROOTS phase on the qualitative understanding of different forms of inequality and their socio-political context as well as the quantitative analyses of the development of different forms of inequality in different regions and different segments of society.
Further advancement the empirical investigation of the development of forms of inequality and identify and evaluate their promoting or hindering social factors, thus contributing to a better understanding of the political, social, geographical and material preconditions and effects of social forms of inequality diachronically.
Participation in the subcluster “ROOTS of Social Inequality” and cooperation with the other subclusters of ROOTS.
Active role in the processing of the ROOTS Overarching Research questions "What is the relation between inequalities and conflict escalation, and how is this relation influenced by different modes of settlement organisation and the accessibility of resources?" and "How is the scale of anthropogenic transformation of the environment (i.e. the ‘human footprint’) modulated by social organisation, as well as knowledge transmission and technological change?" in cooperation with the Postdocs and doctoral students located there.
